Pilgrimage Travel in Ramadan.

Pilgrimage Travel in Ramadan.

Umrah or the ‘Minor Pilgrimage’ is among the most beautiful Sunnah of our Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW). Though a non-obligatory pilgrimage, millions of Muslims travel for it through hajj tickets 2022. Umrah pilgrimage is undertaken voluntarily by a believer. Yet the rewards it holds are no less than that of Hajj. That’s why it is advised to perform umrah in Islam.

Since the umrah season lasts throughout the year, one can travel for it at any time i.e., depending on one’s ease of travel and convenience. However, spiritually Ramadan is considered the most sacred Islamic month for it because of the higher rewards. Consequently, the performance of Umrah in Ramadan brings acceptance by Allah Almighty as well as ensures mental and spiritual purification for the believer.

Is it expensive to perform Umrah in Ramadan?

Yes, considering the millions of pilgrims arriving in Haramain for the holy rituals, umrah travel packages experience a price hike. The reason for it is the lesser accommodation and travel facilities available due to the presence of such a huge crowd. Yet, at the same time, umrah in Ramadan is spiritually more rewarding. So, if you are planning to perform Umrah in Ramadan, be prepared to pay more for the prices of Airline Tickets, Hotel Accommodation and the Umrah packages themselves!

Virtues of pilgrimage travel in Ramadan.

1.Being Allah’s guest.

Being the guest of Allah Almighty is something every believer dreams of witnessing in their lifetime. However, it’s a blessing of Allah Almighty which he grants to whoever Allah wills.

The gratification and joy that a believer experiences by visiting Allah in his house are unexplainable. Who is the better host than Allah Almighty? He always returns all of the prayers of his guests; blessing them with health, wealth, and prosperity in both worlds.

2.Jihad for some.

In Islam, performing Jihad when necessary is the supreme form of worship. The ultimate reward of Jihad is martyrdom for a believer.

It was narrated by Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) in a hadith that Hajj and Umrah provide an opportunity for the elderly people, women, children, and other less fortunate ones to perform Jihad.

3.Forgiveness of Sins.

If umrah pilgrimage is intended with honest intentions, it diminishes all the sins of the past.  Performing Umrah during Ramadan remains a great opportunity for believers to supplicate to Allah Almighty; repent of sins and seek forgiveness from him.

It was narrated by Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) in a hadith that, the performance of minor pilgrimage is an expiation for the sins committed between it and the previous ones.

4.Hajj equivalence.

It was narrated by Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) in a hadith that, Umrah performed in the month of Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj pilgrimage (in terms of rewards).

So, these are some of the reasons why most Muslims prefer traveling for Umrah in Ramadan.
